What you get
About the course
Why take Reactive Microservices Training?
Reactive programming handles many concurrent requests with a small number of threads by never blocking while waiting for I/O. It suits services with heavy I/O, streaming data or many slow downstream calls. This course teaches the reactive model in Java using Project Reactor and Spring WebFlux, and applies it to microservice patterns.
You start from the Reactive Streams specification and learn Mono and Flux operators, error handling, schedulers, context and backpressure. You then build WebFlux services with annotated and functional endpoints, call other services with WebClient, access databases with R2DBC, and exchange events through reactive Kafka. You also test with StepVerifier and WebTestClient, debug reactive pipelines, and compare the approach with Java 21 virtual threads so you can make a balanced choice.
There is no external vendor exam. The course ends with a reactive microservice project, and you receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.
Who should attend
- ● Spring Boot developers who want to learn the reactive stack
- ● Backend developers building high-concurrency or streaming services
- ● Architects evaluating reactive vs virtual-thread designs
- ● Java developers who have seen Mono and Flux in projects and want to understand them
- ● Developers working on API gateways and event-driven systems
