About the course
Kubernetes Training is a practical introduction to running applications on Kubernetes. You learn what problem Kubernetes solves, how its parts fit together, and how to describe an application in manifests and operate it day to day.
The course begins with the architecture of control plane and nodes, then works through Pods, ReplicaSets, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps and Secrets, persistent storage and namespaces. It continues with health probes, resource requests and limits, autoscaling, rolling updates and rollbacks, Ingress, network policies, RBAC and package management with Helm. A final section shows how to monitor a cluster and troubleshoot common failures. Labs use a local cluster and a managed cloud cluster demonstration.
There is no exam inside the course. If you want a credential, the Linux Foundation offers performance-based exams, the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), which you book directly with the Linux Foundation; our separate CKA course prepares for that exam in depth. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.
Hands-on from day one
Each concept is followed by a lab.
Vendor-neutral
Skills apply to EKS, AKS, GKE and on-premises clusters.
Clear next step
Sets up CKA or CKAD preparation.
Production mindset
Covers probes, limits, security and monitoring, not just deployment.
Curriculum
Containers and Kubernetes Overview
Understand the need and the architecture.
Pods and Workload Controllers
Run applications.
Configuration
Separate config from images.
Services and Ingress
Expose applications.
Storage
Persist data.
Reliability and Scaling
Make workloads robust.
Security and Access
Restrict who and what can do things.
Helm, Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Package and operate.
Your certificate
Enrol in a live batch and attend the instructor-led sessions

Optional: continue to our CKA course and the Linux Foundation CKA or CKAD exams, booked directly with the Linux Foundation
Kubernetes architecture
Describe the API server, etcd, scheduler, controllers, kubelet and kube-proxy.
Deploying workloads
Write manifests for Pods and Deployments and manage rolling updates and rollbacks.
Configuration and secrets
Inject configuration with ConfigMaps and Secrets.
Networking and exposure
Expose applications with Services and Ingress and restrict traffic with network policies.
