About the course
What this course covers
Kubernetes Training is a practical introduction to running applications on Kubernetes. You learn what problem Kubernetes solves, how its parts fit together, and how to describe an application in manifests and operate it day to day.
The course begins with the architecture of control plane and nodes, then works through Pods, ReplicaSets, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps and Secrets, persistent storage and namespaces. It continues with health probes, resource requests and limits, autoscaling, rolling updates and rollbacks, Ingress, network policies, RBAC and package management with Helm. A final section shows how to monitor a cluster and troubleshoot common failures. Labs use a local cluster and a managed cloud cluster demonstration.
There is no exam inside the course. If you want a credential, the Linux Foundation offers performance-based exams, the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), which you book directly with the Linux Foundation; our separate CKA course prepares for that exam in depth. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.
Who should attend
- ● DevOps and cloud engineers starting with Kubernetes
- ● Developers who deploy their applications on Kubernetes
- ● System administrators moving from virtual machines to containers
- ● QA and release engineers working with Kubernetes environments
- ● Technical leads evaluating Kubernetes for their team

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is this the same as the CKA course?
No. This course teaches Kubernetes for working use. The CKA course is exam-focused administration with timed drills.
Q.Do I need to know Docker first?
Basic knowledge helps. If you are new to containers, our Docker and Kubernetes combined course starts from the beginning.
Q.Is there an exam?
No. The completion certificate is from Assure Success. Linux Foundation exams are separate.
Q.Which cloud do you use?
A local cluster for most labs, with a managed-cluster demonstration. Concepts apply to any cloud.
Q.Will we cover Helm and Operators?
Helm is covered. Operators are introduced conceptually.
Q.Is it suitable for developers?
Yes. Developers learn to package and deploy applications. For an exam aimed at developers, see CKAD.
