About the course
What this course covers
Earned value management (EVM) combines scope, schedule and cost into a single, consistent measure of performance. Instead of asking whether the project is behind schedule or over budget separately, EVM asks how much work has actually been accomplished, in money terms, compared with what was planned and what it cost.
This course teaches EVM from the ground up. You learn to set a performance measurement baseline, define control accounts and progress rules, and then compute planned value, earned value and actual cost. From these you derive cost and schedule variances, cost and schedule performance indices, and forecasts such as estimate at completion, estimate to complete and to-complete performance index. We spend time on the interpretation, not just the formulas.
EVM questions also appear in the PMP, CAPM and other PMI exams, so the course is useful exam support, but it is not an exam course in itself. There is no external exam; learners receive an Assure Success completion certificate.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is this a certification course?
No. It is a skills course with an Assure Success completion certificate. It is not an official PMI-SP or AACE exam course.
Q.How much maths is required?
Arithmetic and simple ratios. We provide all formulas and practise them step by step.
Q.Does it help with the PMP exam?
Yes, it deepens EVM topics that the exam can test, but it is not full PMP preparation.
Q.Does EVM work for agile projects?
It can be adapted, and we discuss agile variants, but EVM is most natural when scope and budget are baselined.
Q.Which software is used?
Calculations are done by hand and in a spreadsheet. No special software is needed.
Q.How is it delivered?
Live online instructor-led sessions in scheduled batches.
Q.Who should skip it?
Anyone who only needs a high-level overview may prefer the Project Planning and Monitoring course.
