About the course
What this course covers
CompTIA A+ is the industry-standard entry credential for IT support roles. It shows that you can install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot the devices that people use every day, from laptops and smartphones to printers, operating systems and small office networks, and that you can do so with sound security and customer-service habits.
Certification requires two exams. Core 1 (220-1201) focuses on mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualisation and cloud computing, and hardware and network troubleshooting. Core 2 (220-1202) covers operating systems, security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures. This course teaches both, with plenty of hands-on practice and scenario questions, including the performance-based items that ask you to complete a task rather than pick an answer.
You will learn a repeatable troubleshooting approach, how to work with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, how to secure endpoints, how to document and communicate with users, and how to handle safety and environmental procedures. The course is suitable for beginners and prepares you for help-desk, desktop-support and field-technician roles.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Do I have to take both exams on the same day?
No. You can take Core 1 and Core 2 separately, but you need to pass both to earn A+. Check CompTIA for the time limit between them.
Q.Is there any experience requirement?
No formal requirement. CompTIA recommends about 12 months of hands-on experience, but many freshers pass after structured training and lab practice.
Q.What are the passing scores?
675 for Core 1 and 700 for Core 2 on a 100–900 scale.
Q.How do I book the exams in India?
Purchase vouchers from CompTIA or an authorised seller and schedule with Pearson VUE at a test centre or through online proctoring.
Q.How long is A+ valid?
Three years. You can renew by earning continuing education units or by passing a higher-level CompTIA exam.
Q.What should I take after A+?
Most learners move to Network+ and then Security+, or to a Microsoft or cloud fundamentals certification.
Q.Can I use the older 220-1101/1102 material?
