About the course
What this course covers
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level credential. It shows that you understand the language, processes and roles of project management even if you have not yet led a project. It is a practical first step for graduates, career changers and team members who contribute to projects.
The CAPM exam tests four domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive, Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks/Methodologies (20%) and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). This course teaches each domain through examples and practice questions in live online sessions.
To apply you need a secondary school diploma (or global equivalent) and 23 hours of project management education, which this course provides. PMI's PMP outline also notes that an active CAPM earns a 35-hour training credit toward the commercial-training requirement for the PMP, so CAPM is a sensible stepping stone.
