About the course
What this course covers
Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) is a one-day introduction to Kanban for teams. It is the quickest way to learn how a Kanban board works and how to run it in a way that improves delivery, rather than simply making work visible.
In about eight hours you learn the principles and core practices of the Kanban Method, how to design a simple board that reflects your team's real workflow, and how to use WIP limits and pull to reduce multitasking and delay. You practise running a daily Kanban meeting, tracking lead time and throughput, spotting bottlenecks and identifying small improvements the team can try straight away. The class uses a hands-on simulation, so you feel the effect of limiting work in progress.
Kanban University's development path lists TKP as a single-course credential with no exam. If you want to go further, the next step is Kanban System Design (KSD).
