About the course
Why take Selenium Certification Training?
Selenium remains the most widely used open-source tool for browser test automation, and many QA job descriptions in India still list it as a required skill. This course takes you from writing your first WebDriver script to assembling a maintainable framework that you can show in interviews.
We use Selenium 4 with Java, Maven and TestNG. You learn how the browser driver architecture works, how to build reliable locators, how to handle waits, frames, windows, alerts, file uploads and dynamic tables, and how to organise code with the Page Object Model. The later sessions add data-driven testing, logging, reporting, parallel runs with Selenium Grid and execution from a CI pipeline.
There is no external exam for Selenium, as it is an open-source project. You finish with a portfolio framework and code you have written yourself. Prior programming helps, and the first sessions cover the Java you need.
Who should attend
- ● Manual testers who want to move into automation
- ● Fresh graduates targeting QA automation roles
- ● Developers who want to write end-to-end browser tests
- ● Support engineers or analysts who need to automate repetitive web tasks
- ● Test leads who review and plan automation frameworks
Prerequisites
- ● Basic knowledge of web applications, HTML and how a browser works
- ● Elementary programming concepts such as variables, loops and conditions; the course revises the Java needed
- ● A laptop that can run IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse and a recent browser
What this certification does for you
Open-source and free
No licence cost, so you can practise at home and use the same skills across employers.
Portfolio-ready framework
You leave with working code and a framework structure you can explain in an interview.
Wide job demand
Selenium appears in a large share of QA automation roles.
Transferable concepts
Locators, waits and Page Objects carry over to Playwright and Cypress.

Skills you will gain
WebDriver fundamentals
Launch browsers, navigate pages and interact with elements using the Selenium 4 API.
Reliable locators
Write stable CSS selectors and XPath expressions and use relative locators where they help.
Synchronisation
Use explicit and fluent waits instead of fixed sleeps to remove flaky behaviour.
Complex UI handling
Work with frames, windows and tabs, alerts, dropdowns, file uploads and the Actions class.
TestNG test design
Use annotations, assertions, groups, parameters and listeners to structure tests.
Page Object Model
Separate page logic from test logic so changes to the UI need changes in only one place.
Data-driven testing
Read test data from Excel, JSON or CSV and run the same test with many inputs.
Grid and CI execution
Run tests in parallel on multiple browsers and trigger them from a Jenkins job.
