What this course covers
The SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) course teaches the two roles that define what an Agile Release Train builds. Product Managers own the ART backlog of features and the solution vision; Product Owners work with their teams to turn features into stories and ensure each iteration delivers value.
The curriculum matches the exam domains: product owner and product management roles and responsibilities, PI Planning preparation (solution vision, roadmaps, features, ART backlog), leadership during PI Planning, iteration execution (stories, story maps, iteration planning, refinement, review and retrospective) and PI execution (sync events, system demo, Innovation and Planning iteration, Inspect and Adapt). You practise writing features with benefit hypotheses, prioritising with WSJF and splitting stories.
The POPM exam is web-based with 45 single-select questions in 90 minutes and an 80% pass mark. Scaled Agile also publishes AI-empowered editions of several courses, so your trainer will confirm the exact edition and exam version at enrolment.
