What this course covers
SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) addresses a common obstacle to agility: annual project-based funding and heavy governance that ties teams to old plans. LPM shows how to fund value streams instead of projects, connect strategy to epics and keep governance lightweight.
The seven lessons match the exam domains: introducing LPM, establishing portfolio strategy and vision, realising the vision through epics, establishing investment funding with Lean budget guardrails and participatory budgeting, managing portfolio flow with the portfolio Kanban and WSJF, applying agile portfolio operations, and Lean governance including continuous compliance. You work through realistic case situations on funding, epics and portfolio reviews.
The LPM exam has 45 single-select questions in 90 minutes with a 77% pass mark. Scaled Agile also publishes AI-empowered editions of several courses, so your trainer will confirm the exact edition and exam version at enrolment.
