About the course
What this course covers
SAFe for Government teaches how to use SAFe where funding, procurement and oversight rules are stricter than in commercial settings. Many public-sector programmes in India and elsewhere run on fixed budgets, long procurement cycles and strict audit rules. The SAFe Government Practitioner (SGP) course explains how to keep those controls while moving to incremental delivery.
The exam outline shows the focus: advancing Lean-Agile in government; embracing a Lean-Agile mindset; applying SAFe principles; creating high-performing teams and programmes; planning with cadence and synchronisation; supporting program execution; mapping the path to agency and program agility (aligning large programmes with agency strategy, moving from projects to a lean flow of epics, lean budgeting, lean estimating and forecasting, modifying acquisition practices, building in quality and compliance, adapting governance); and leading successful change.
The SGP exam has 45 questions in 90 minutes and a 73% pass mark. Questions may be single-answer or multiple-select with no partial credit. Scaled Agile also publishes AI-empowered editions of several courses, so your trainer will confirm the exact edition and exam version at enrolment.
