About the course
What this course covers
SAFe Agile Software Engineering (ASE) is for developers and testers who build the solutions on an Agile Release Train. It focuses on built-in quality: the idea that quality is created by how the team works, not inspected in at the end. Much of the course is practical coding and design work.
The eleven lessons cover principles and practices to built-in quality; accelerating flow; intentional architecture; test-first thinking and the agile testing matrix; story details and splitting; shared understanding with behaviour-driven development; communicating with models and CRC cards; code quality (cohesion and coupling); design quality (SOLID and design patterns); implementing with quality using test-driven development and refactoring; and a course review with an action plan.
The ASE exam is short and practical: 20 single-select questions in 45 minutes, with an 80% pass mark (16 of 20). Scaled Agile also publishes AI-empowered editions of several courses, so your trainer will confirm the exact edition and exam version at enrolment.
