About the course
What this course covers
React Native lets you build mobile apps for Android and iOS from a single codebase using React and TypeScript. This course takes you from the React concepts you need, through core mobile components and navigation, to a finished app that fetches data, stores it locally and is ready to be built for release.
We teach with the current React Native architecture and the Expo tooling that most teams now start with, and we also cover when you would drop down to a bare React Native project and native modules. Every module includes live coding, so you see the app run on an emulator or a phone as it grows.
There is no official vendor exam for React Native. The result you take away is a project you can demonstrate and the confidence to work on an existing React Native codebase in a team.

Q.Do I need to know React before joining?
Basic React helps a lot, and Module 2 revises the essentials. If you only know plain JavaScript, plan some extra practice on React before the batch starts.
Q.Expo or React Native CLI - which will we use?
We start with Expo because it is quicker to set up and is how most teams now begin. We also explain what changes in a bare React Native project and when you need native modules.
Q.Can I do this on Windows without a Mac?
Yes for Android. iOS Simulator and iOS builds need a Mac, but you can still test on iOS with the Expo Go app on a real iPhone and use cloud builds.
Q.Is React Native better than Flutter or native development?
Each has a place. React Native suits teams with JavaScript or React skills who want one codebase. We do not claim it is best for every case, and we explain trade-offs during the course.
Q.Is there an official certification?
There is no official vendor exam for React Native. You receive an Assure Success course completion certificate and a project you can show.
