About the course
What this course covers
QlikView Training teaches you to build business intelligence applications on QlikView's associative engine, where selecting any value instantly highlights related and unrelated data across the whole application. You learn the two halves of every QlikView app: the load script that extracts, transforms and models data, and the front-end sheets with charts, filters and expressions that users interact with.
The course covers data loading from files and databases, designing a sound data model and avoiding synthetic keys and circular references, building QVD layers for faster reloads, writing expressions and set analysis, creating dashboards, and securing applications with Section Access. The later modules deal with performance tuning and deployment.
An honest note on the market: Qlik's current product investment is in Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud, and many organisations are migrating from QlikView. QlikView skills remain relevant for maintaining and migrating existing applications, which is common in large Indian enterprises, and the concepts transfer directly. We therefore include a session on differences with Qlik Sense and migration considerations. Please check Qlik's current product lifecycle information if you are choosing a tool for a new project. There is no external exam listed for this course; you receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is QlikView still worth learning?
It is useful if you will support or migrate existing QlikView apps, which many enterprises still have. For new BI projects, Qlik's focus is on Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud, and tools like Power BI or Tableau are more common. Check current job listings and Qlik's product lifecycle pages.
Q.Will this help me learn Qlik Sense?
Yes. Load scripting, data modelling, set analysis and the associative concept are shared. The front-end development experience differs.
Q.Is there a Qlik certification exam for this course?
We do not list an exam for this course. Qlik's current certification programme centres on its newer products, so check Qlik's official site if you want an exam.
Q.Do I need SQL knowledge?
Basic SQL helps, since many data sources are relational databases. The course explains what you need.
Q.Can I practise at home?
QlikView Personal Edition lets you build and run apps locally, though some sharing features are limited. The coordinator will advise on the lab setup.
Q.Does QlikView run on Mac?
QlikView Desktop is a Windows application, so Mac users need a Windows environment.
