About the course
What this course covers
The Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org shows that you understand Scrum as described in the Scrum Guide and can apply it in real situations. It is known in the industry for a demanding assessment: 80 questions in 60 minutes with an 85% pass mark, so surface learning does not work.
This course teaches Scrum the way Scrum.org presents it: theory and values first, then the Scrum Team's accountabilities, the events, the artifacts and their commitments, and the Scrum Master's role as a true leader who serves the team and the organisation. Exercises make you decide how to respond to realistic situations, which is also the style of the assessment questions.
After the course you take the PSM I assessment online whenever you are ready. Once you pass, the certification does not expire and there is no renewal fee.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.How difficult is the PSM I assessment?
It is considered one of the tougher entry-level Scrum assessments: 80 questions in 60 minutes with an 85% pass mark. Careful study of the Scrum Guide and practice with open assessments is expected.
Q.Do I need Scrum experience for PSM I?
No. Scrum.org has no experience requirement. Experience helps you answer scenario questions, but the course covers the necessary ground.
Q.Does PSM I expire?
No. It is a lifetime certification with no renewal fee.
Q.PSM I or CSM - which is better?
Both are well recognised. PSM I tests knowledge more strictly and costs less per attempt; CSM includes a workshop-style certification and a shorter test. Many professionals eventually hold both.
Q.Is the assessment fee included in the course fee?
The assessment is paid to Scrum.org (US$200 per attempt). Scrum.org's official classes include a password in tuition, but check what your batch includes when you enrol.
Q.Can I retake the assessment if I fail?
Yes, but each attempt needs a new password and fee, unless your class tuition includes a free second attempt. Review your weak areas before retaking.
