What this course covers
Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (exam PL-900) is the entry point for people who want to build business solutions without heavy coding. It shows that you understand what Power Platform is, how Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio work, and how environments are managed.
Microsoft assesses: the business value of Microsoft Power Platform; managing the Power Platform environment; the capabilities of Power Apps; the capabilities of Power Automate; and the features and capabilities of agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio. Older material may call Copilot Studio by its earlier name, Power Virtual Agents; the course uses the current names. You will build a simple app and automation yourself, connect data with Dataverse and connectors, and see how AI is built into the tools.
The course prepares you for the exam, which you book yourself with Microsoft via Pearson VUE. The fundamentals credential does not show a renewal requirement on Microsoft's page. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online. Note that Microsoft retired the PL-200 consultant exam on 31 August 2026; see our PL-200 course for details.
