About the course
What this course covers
Every organisation has more good ideas than people and money. Portfolio management is how leaders decide which projects and programmes to fund, which to delay and which to stop, so that scarce capacity goes where it supports strategy best.
This fundamentals course explains the portfolio view. You will learn to categorise proposed work, define selection criteria, score and rank components, and test the resulting mix against capacity and risk. We also cover portfolio governance, periodic reviews, performance reporting and how portfolios respond to changes in strategy or the market.
It is a conceptual and practical course rather than an exam course. There is no external exam; learners receive an Assure Success completion certificate. It is useful groundwork for PMO roles and for senior credentials such as PfMP.
