About the course
What this course covers
The PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) recognises people who work with stakeholders to define business needs, manage requirements and ensure that project outcomes deliver value. It is based on PMI's business analysis standards rather than IIBA's BABOK Guide and is a natural choice for project-based organisations that follow PMI practice.
The exam is organised around five domains: needs assessment (about 18%), planning (22%), analysis (35%), traceability and monitoring (15%) and evaluation (10%), according to widely published outlines of the PMI-PBA content. Our course walks through each domain in order and practises the requirements-focused scenarios the exam uses.
PMI requires business analysis experience and 35 contact hours of business analysis education before the exam. This 24-hour course provides 24 of those hours; additional hours would be needed to reach 35. Please read the current PMI-PBA handbook for the exact experience requirement for your degree level and for current exam details, because we could not verify every figure directly with PMI.
