About the course
What this course covers
PHP powers a large share of websites, including WordPress, and remains a practical choice for business sites, e-commerce and web applications in India. This course teaches PHP 8 and MySQL from the beginning, with an emphasis on writing safe, modern code rather than the old procedural style found in many online tutorials.
You start with PHP syntax and control flow, then move to forms, sessions, cookies and file handling. MySQL gets its own section covering schema design, CRUD, joins and indexes, and you connect to it using PDO with prepared statements to avoid SQL injection. Later modules introduce object-oriented PHP, namespaces, Composer, error handling, security practices and a first look at frameworks such as Laravel.
PHP has no mandatory vendor exam for this course. You build a database-driven project, and you receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.

Q.Is PHP still worth learning in 2026?
Yes, for the right goals. PHP runs WordPress and many business sites and ecommerce stores, and PHP 8 is a modern language. Roles are more commonly with agencies, small businesses and service companies than with large product firms.
Q.Which PHP version is taught?
PHP 8.x, using current features such as enums, readonly properties, match and attributes.
Q.Do I need to know HTML first?
Basic HTML and CSS help, because PHP generates web pages. If you are new, learn them first or alongside.
Q.Is there a PHP certification exam?
Zend-based certifications existed in the past; check the current status on the official site. This course does not require an exam.
Q.Will I learn WordPress?
Not in this course. But core PHP and MySQL are the base for WordPress theme and plugin development.
Q.Should I learn Laravel instead?
Laravel is what most PHP teams use for new projects, but you understand it better after learning core PHP. Our Laravel course is a natural next step.
