About the course
What this course covers
Microservices split a large application into independently deployable services. That brings flexibility, but also new problems: service discovery, configuration, failure handling, data consistency and observability. This course shows how to solve them with Spring Boot 4, Spring Cloud and the surrounding tools used in Indian product companies and IT services firms.
You first learn how to decide service boundaries and when not to use microservices. Then you build a small system step by step: a gateway, a central configuration service, service discovery, inter-service calls, circuit breakers and event-driven messaging with Kafka. You secure it with OAuth 2 and JWT, add distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, and containerise and deploy it with Docker and Kubernetes.
There is no external vendor exam for this course. The multi-service capstone is your evidence of skill, and you receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.
Who should attend
- ● Spring Boot developers who want to move into distributed systems
- ● Developers modernising monolithic Java applications
- ● Senior developers and tech leads designing service-based systems
- ● DevOps and platform engineers who support Spring Cloud applications
- ● Architects who want hands-on exposure to the Spring microservice stack
Prerequisites
- Working experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs (or completion of the Spring Boot course)
Key skills
Skills you will walk away with
Microservice architecture
Define service boundaries with domain-driven design and decide between synchronous and asynchronous communication.
API gateway and routing
Configure Spring Cloud Gateway with filters, rate limiting and security.
Configuration and discovery
Use Spring Cloud Config and service discovery with Eureka or Kubernetes DNS.
Resilience
Apply circuit breakers, retries, timeouts and bulkheads with Resilience4j.
Event-driven design
Publish and consume events with Kafka and apply the outbox pattern.
Data consistency
Use sagas and eventual consistency instead of distributed transactions.

Certification
How you get certified
- 1Enrol in the next scheduled live batch and prepare Docker, JDK 21 or later, Maven and a local Kubernetes option such as Minikube or kind
- 2Attend the live sessions and complete the lab for each module
- 3Build the multi-service capstone in your own Git repository
- 4Present the architecture and working system in the final review
- 5Receive the Assure Success course-completion certificate (a training certificate, not a vendor exam credential)

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Should I learn Spring Boot before this course?
Yes. You need to be comfortable building REST services and using Spring Data JPA, since the course starts with multi-service design immediately.
Q.Is Netflix Eureka still used?
Eureka is still supported through Spring Cloud and appears in many existing systems. The course also shows Kubernetes-native service discovery, which is more common in new cloud deployments.
Q.Are microservices always better than a monolith?
No. They add operational complexity. The course teaches how to decide, and when a modular monolith is the better choice.
Q.Is there a certification exam?
No exam is attached to this course. You get a course-completion certificate and a capstone.
Q.What laptop do I need?
16 GB RAM is strongly recommended because you will run several services, Kafka, a database and Kubernetes locally. If you have 8 GB, tell us before the batch so we can suggest a cloud sandbox setup.
Q.Do you teach Kubernetes in depth?
You learn enough to deploy and operate the capstone: pods, deployments, services, config and basic Helm. A full Kubernetes course goes much deeper.
