What this course covers
Management 3.0 is a movement for modern management, created by Jurgen Appelo, that treats organisations as complex adaptive systems and managers as people who improve the system rather than control individuals. The Foundation workshop introduces its ideas through exercises, games and discussion instead of long lectures.
The content is organised around six views: Energise People, Empower Teams, Align Constraints, Develop Competence, Grow Structure and Improve Everything. Each view has practical tools, for example Moving Motivators to explore what motivates individuals, Delegation Poker to clarify levels of authority, Kudo Boxes and Merit Money for recognition, Team Competence Matrices for skills and Celebration Grids for learning from failure and success.
