About the course
What this course covers
Lean management comes from the Toyota Production System. Its central idea is simple: define value from the customer's point of view, then remove everything in the process that does not create it. That means waiting, rework, overproduction, unnecessary movement, excess inventory and unused talent.
This course teaches the lean mindset and the practical toolkit. You learn to see the work through value stream mapping, to improve flow using pull systems and kanban, to stabilise processes with 5S and standard work, to solve problems with A3 thinking and root cause analysis, and to run improvement events. Lean is as much about leadership as tools, so the course covers visual management, daily huddles, gemba walks and building a culture where people suggest improvements.
There is no external exam. Learners receive an Assure Success completion certificate. Lean is also the foundation for Lean Six Sigma, so the course pairs well with our Yellow and Green Belt courses.
