About the course
What this course covers
Kanban Systems Improvement (KSI) is the second of two courses leading to the Kanban Management Professional designation; Kanban University notes it was formerly known as KMP II. Where KSD teaches how to design and launch a Kanban system, KSI is about making that system better and connecting it with others.
The course concentrates on how to evolve a system with data. You look deeper at flow metrics, variability and its causes, probabilistic forecasting with historical data, service level expectations, risk and classes of service, and how to run the review meetings that drive improvement. You also learn how to scale Kanban across connected services, handle dependencies and use experiments to improve policies.
Kanban University states that students must have completed KSD to receive the KMP designation. No exam is listed; the credential is awarded for completing the class with an accredited trainer. Confirm the length of the batch you choose, since schedules vary.
