About the course
What this course covers
Jenkins is one of the most widely used open-source automation servers for continuous integration and delivery. Many Indian IT services and product companies still run large Jenkins estates, so it is a common requirement in DevOps job descriptions.
This course teaches Jenkins from first install to production practice. You set up a Jenkins controller, create freestyle jobs to understand the basics, then move to pipeline as code with Jenkinsfiles using declarative syntax. You connect to Git repositories, build Java and other projects with Maven or Gradle, run unit tests, publish reports, scan code quality with SonarQube, build and push Docker images and deploy to servers or containers. You also learn about distributed builds with agents, shared libraries to reuse pipeline code, credentials management, role-based access control and Jenkins Configuration as Code.
There is no exam in this course; you receive an Assure Success completion certificate. A CloudBees Certified Jenkins Engineer exam has existed, but we could not confirm its current availability from official sources, so please check with CloudBees directly if a vendor credential matters to you. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.
Who should attend

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is there a Jenkins exam?
This course has no exam. A CloudBees Certified Jenkins Engineer exam existed, but we could not confirm its current availability from official sources, so please check with CloudBees.
Q.Is Jenkins still worth learning?
Yes. Many enterprises still run Jenkins, and the pipeline concepts transfer to other CI/CD tools.
Q.Do I need Java knowledge?
Not deep knowledge. We use a sample Java project, but the pipeline skills apply to other languages.
Q.Will we use Groovy?
Declarative pipelines need little Groovy. We teach the Groovy you need for scripted blocks and shared libraries.
Q.Do you teach GitHub Actions?
Only for comparison. The focus is Jenkins.
Q.Where will Jenkins run in the labs?
On a virtual machine or Docker on your machine or a cloud free tier. Setup help is provided.
