About the course
What this course covers
ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy (DITS) is aimed at senior managers and executives who shape how technology drives business strategy. It covers how digital technologies change markets and competition, how to formulate and implement digital and IT strategy, and how to lead organisations through transformation.
The course examines digital disruption and digital business models, the relationship between business strategy and IT strategy, strategic planning and positioning, and the operating models, governance and capabilities required to deliver strategy. It also looks at leadership, culture and change, risk, innovation and the role of the CIO and senior team in digital leadership.
DITS, with DPI, leads to the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader designation. The ITIL 4 Foundation certificate is required before attempting the exam. PeopleCert launched ITIL (Version 5) in February 2026 and ITIL 4 modules remain available for a transition period, so confirm the latest schedule on peoplecert.org.
