About the course
What this course covers
Business Agility Foundations (ICP-BAF) is the starting point of ICAgile's Business Agility track. It looks at how a whole organisation, not just a software team, can sense change and respond to it quickly while still delivering value to customers.
The course explains why traditional management structures struggle in fast-changing markets and what agile organisations do differently: they work in short feedback loops, organise around customers and value, empower teams and rethink planning, budgeting and people practices. You review how agile ideas apply in functions such as HR, finance, marketing and operations, and consider the leadership behaviours and culture that make this possible.
ICAgile certifications are earned by completing an accredited class and meeting the instructor's acceptance criteria; there is no separate exam. BAF suits anyone who wants a shared language for agility across departments before diving into specialised tracks.

Q.I work in HR (or finance, marketing). Is this for me?
Yes. A key aim of the course is to show how agile ideas apply outside IT, with examples from several business functions.
Q.Is there an exam?
No separate exam is required. The instructor assesses you through class activities and you must attend all the learning outcomes.
Q.Do I need to know Scrum first?
No. The course explains the ideas from the start and does not assume a Scrum background.
Q.How is BAF different from ICP (Agile Fundamentals)?
ICP is about agile delivery in teams. BAF is about agility across the organisation, including leadership, culture and planning.
Q.Does the certificate expire?
No. ICAgile states that certifications do not expire and carry no renewal fee.
Q.Which course should I take next?
