About the course
What this course covers
Agility in the Enterprise (ICP-ENT) is the first of two knowledge-based certifications on ICAgile's Enterprise Coaching for Agility track; the second is Coaching Agile Transitions (ICP-CAT). Where team-level courses ask how a team works, this course asks how an entire organisation behaves as a system.
You learn the basics of systems thinking and complexity, and how to read an organisation's structure, culture and incentives. The course surveys common approaches to scaling agile, such as SAFe, LeSS, Nexus and Scrum@Scale, and looks at the trade-offs rather than promoting one. You also cover how to talk to senior leaders about measures of business performance, organisational culture and leadership development.
ICAgile certifications are awarded for completing an accredited class and meeting the instructor's acceptance criteria; there is no separate exam. The course suits experienced agilists who are now being asked to advise beyond a single team. ICAgile has renamed some courses on this track over time, so confirm the current title with your batch coordinator.

Q.Is this the same as the ICAgile Enterprise Agile Coaching course?
ICP-ENT is the first knowledge-based certification on ICAgile's Enterprise Coaching for Agility track. Course titles on this track have been updated over time, so check the exact current title when you book.
Q.Is there an exam?
No separate exam is required. The instructor assesses you in class, and you must attend all the learning outcomes.
Q.Do I need to know SAFe or another scaling framework first?
No. The course gives an overview of several frameworks and compares them.
Q.I only have team-level experience. Can I attend?
You can, but you will get more from it if you have worked with more than one team or seen how a large organisation operates.
Q.Should I take ICP-CAT too?
The two courses are designed to complement each other. ICP-ENT is the system-and-structure view; ICP-CAT focuses on guiding change.
Q.Does the certificate expire?
No. ICAgile states certifications do not expire and carry no renewal fee.
