About the course
What this course covers
The ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) credential covers Agile Fundamentals. It is built around the agile mindset first and the practices second, so you understand why teams work the way they do before learning how a specific framework runs.
You study the Agile Manifesto and its principles, how agile differs from plan-driven delivery, and the core practices from Scrum, Kanban and Extreme Programming. You also cover how agile teams plan, estimate, track progress, communicate and keep improving, with exercises that you do together in a live class instead of reading slides alone.
ICAgile certifications are awarded when you complete an accredited class and meet the instructor's assessment criteria; there is no separate exam. ICP is a sensible first step if you are new to agile, and it opens the door to ICAgile's role-based tracks in coaching, facilitation, product ownership and more.

Q.Is ICP an exam-based certificate?
No. ICAgile requires you to complete an accredited class and meet the instructor's acceptance criteria. Assessment is by in-class activities, exercises or a test chosen by the provider.
Q.How is ICP different from CSM and PSM?
CSM and PSM focus on Scrum. ICP is framework-neutral and covers the agile mindset along with Scrum, Kanban and XP. It also does not need renewal.
Q.I have no IT background. Can I join?
Yes. There is no prerequisite and no coding is involved.
Q.Will ICP get me a job?
It is a good foundation certificate that shows you understand agile, but employers will also want practical experience. There is no job guarantee.
Q.Does the certificate expire?
No. ICAgile states certifications do not expire and carry no renewal fee.
Q.What should I take after ICP?
Common next steps are Agile Team Facilitation, Agile Coaching or Agile Product Ownership, depending on your role.
