About the course
What this course covers
HTML and CSS are the foundation of every website, and this course teaches them the way professionals use them today. You learn to structure content with semantic HTML5 elements, then style it with modern CSS: the box model, Flexbox, Grid, custom properties, media and container queries, and animations. Accessibility and SEO basics are included from the beginning.
The course is hands-on. You build pages from scratch and convert simple design mock-ups into responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets and desktops. You use browser DevTools to debug layouts, learn naming approaches such as BEM, and get a first look at Sass and Tailwind CSS so you can read the code you will meet in jobs.
HTML and CSS have no official certification exam. At the end you publish a multi-page website. You receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.

Q.Are HTML and CSS programming languages?
Not exactly. HTML is a markup language and CSS is a style language. They are essential for the web, but they do not contain logic such as loops. JavaScript adds that.
Q.Is this course enough to get a job?
HTML and CSS are the starting point. Most front-end roles also need JavaScript and a framework, so consider the HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript course or the Front-End Bootcamp next.
Q.Do I need to buy any software?
No. VS Code, browsers and GitHub Pages are free.
Q.Is there an exam or certification?
No standard vendor exam exists for HTML and CSS. You get a course-completion certificate and a project to show.
Q.Will I learn Bootstrap or Tailwind?
You get an overview of both so you can read and modify such code. The focus is plain CSS, which you need to understand either way.
Q.Can I learn this without any technical background?
Yes. The course starts from zero and does not assume coding experience.
