About the course
What this course covers
Flask is a minimal Python web framework that gives you routing and templating and lets you choose the rest. That flexibility makes it popular for APIs, microservices, machine learning model serving and small web apps. This course shows how to structure Flask projects so they stay manageable as they grow.
You start with routes, request handling and Jinja2 templates, then learn the application factory pattern and blueprints. Data access uses SQLAlchemy 2.0 with Alembic migrations through Flask-Migrate. You then build a REST API with request validation, JWT authentication and error handling, write tests with pytest, and deploy with Gunicorn and Docker. You will also see when FastAPI or Django may be a better fit.
Flask has no external exam. The course ends with a small API project, and you receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.
Who should attend

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Flask, Django or FastAPI: which should I learn?
Django suits full applications with many built-in features. FastAPI is popular for async APIs. Flask sits in between: simple, flexible and widely used. The final module compares them.
Q.Do I need to know Python first?
Yes. You should be comfortable with Python functions, classes and modules before starting this short course.
Q.Is Flask used in real jobs?
Yes, for APIs, microservices, internal tools and model serving. Many companies use it alongside other frameworks.
Q.Is there a certification exam?
No official exam. You get a course-completion certificate and an API project.
Q.Will I learn async features?
Flask supports async views, and we mention them. For heavily async workloads, FastAPI is often a better fit.
Q.Does the course include front-end development?
Only Jinja2 templates and basic forms. For modern front ends, take JavaScript or React.
Q.Which database is used?
