What this course covers
Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) is PMI's advanced team-level certification for experienced agile practitioners. It builds on the DASM and shows how to optimise a team's way of working, work with allies elsewhere in the organisation, and solve harder problems such as coordination, reporting, conflict and impediments that sit outside the team.
The course explores the DA toolkit in depth: hundreds of practices and strategies and the trade-offs of applying them. You learn to lead agile teams through enterprise activities such as planning, coordinating and reporting, and to show improvement in the areas where your organisation is struggling. Practical cases cover team development, emotional intelligence, conflict management, tactical scaling and removing impediments.
PMI's certification framework asks for the 2-day DASSM training from a Disciplined Agile partner and two years of experience in an agile team, preferably in a leadership role. The exam is 50 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, online and non-proctored. The DASSM is a prerequisite for DAC and DAVSC.
