About the course
What this course covers
DevOps Engineering on AWS shows how to apply DevOps practice using AWS-native tools. You will move from manual deployments to automated, repeatable delivery: code in a repository, builds and tests run automatically, infrastructure is created from templates, and releases roll out safely with the ability to roll back.
The course uses CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline for pipelines, CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, ECS and EKS for containers, and CloudWatch, X-Ray and Systems Manager for monitoring and operations. We also cover deployment strategies such as rolling, blue/green and canary, and how to add security checks and approvals into a pipeline.
This course does not have its own exam. It is useful groundwork if you plan to take AWS certifications such as Developer - Associate or CloudOps Engineer - Associate, and later DevOps Engineer - Professional, which you would book separately with AWS. Delivery is live and instructor-led online in scheduled batches.

Questions learners ask us
Q.Is this course the same as the AWS DevOps Professional certification?
No. It is a hands-on skills course. The AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional exam is a much harder, separate credential you can attempt later.
Q.Do I need coding experience?
You should be comfortable with scripting and reading simple application code. You do not need to be a full-time developer.
Q.Do you use Jenkins or only AWS tools?
The labs focus on AWS-native tools. Jenkins is covered in our separate Jenkins course, and concepts transfer between tools.
Q.Is there an exam at the end?
No exam. You get an Assure Success completion certificate; AWS certifications are optional and booked separately.
Q.How much will the labs cost on AWS?
Most labs fit in the free tier or cost very little. We explain which resources to delete after each lab.
Q.Will I learn Kubernetes?
You will deploy to EKS at an introductory level. For deeper Kubernetes skills see our Kubernetes and CKA courses.
