About the course
What this course covers
Developing on AWS teaches software developers how to use AWS services from their code. Instead of treating AWS as a place to host a virtual machine, you build applications that call managed services through SDKs and APIs, handle errors and retries properly, and deploy through automated pipelines.
Over 24 live hours you build a small but complete application: a REST API fronted by API Gateway, business logic in Lambda, data in DynamoDB and S3, background work through queues, user sign-in with Cognito, and a pipeline that deploys it. Along the way you learn the security and observability habits that production systems need.
This course has no exam of its own. It overlaps strongly with the AWS Certified Developer - Associate syllabus, so many learners use it as preparation and then book that exam directly with AWS. The training is live and instructor-led online.
Who should attend
- ● Java, Python, Node.js or .NET developers starting with AWS
- ● Back-end engineers moving from monolithic apps to microservices and serverless
- ● Fresh graduates with programming skills who want cloud development experience
- ● DevOps engineers who want to understand the application side
- ● Team leads who need to assess serverless designs
Prerequisites
- ● Working programming knowledge in at least one language
Key skills
Skills you will walk away with
Using AWS SDKs
Call AWS services from code with proper credentials, error handling, retries and pagination.
Lambda functions
Write, configure and test functions with event triggers, environment variables and permissions.
API design on API Gateway
Expose REST and HTTP APIs with authorisers, validation, throttling and stages.
NoSQL data modelling
Design DynamoDB tables around access patterns with keys, indexes and TTL.
Event-driven integration
Decouple components using SQS, SNS, EventBridge and Step Functions.
User authentication
Add sign-up, sign-in and token validation with Cognito.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is this the same as the Developer Associate certification course?
Not exactly. This course is skills-focused and project-based. The Developer Associate course adds exam strategy and exam-style practice.
Q.Which language will be used?
Mainly Python, with Node.js snippets. If you use Java or .NET, the SDK concepts are the same.
Q.Do I need an AWS account?
Yes, a personal free-tier account. We explain how to set budget alerts and clean up resources.
Q.Is there an exam?
No. You receive a course-completion certificate from Assure Success. AWS certification is a separate optional step.
Q.Can a fresher with only college-level programming attend?
Yes, if you can write simple programs and understand functions and JSON. We move step by step through the AWS parts.
Q.Will I learn containers too?
Containers are touched on briefly. The focus is serverless and managed-service development.
Q.What happens if I miss a session?
