About the course
What this course covers
A design sprint is a structured five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping and testing ideas with customers. It was developed by Jake Knapp at Google and refined at Google Ventures, and is described in the book Sprint.
The course teaches the process and how to run it. You study the five phases: map the problem and choose a target, sketch competing solutions, decide which to test, build a realistic prototype and test it with five users. You learn how to choose the right challenge, assemble the team, pick a Decider, recruit users, and create the workspace online. Through compressed exercises you practise techniques such as long-term goal and sprint questions, how-might-we notes, lightning demos, Crazy 8s, solution sketches, heat map voting, storyboarding and user interviews. The course also covers four-day variants, remote facilitation tools and how to carry results into agile delivery.
There is no external exam, and you receive a course completion certificate from the training provider.
