About the course

Why take Scrum Master & Product Owner Combo Training (CSM + CSPO)?

This combined programme prepares you for both the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications from Scrum Alliance. Many small teams have one person covering both accountabilities in practice, and even in larger teams a Scrum Master and Product Owner who understand each other's work deliver more reliably.

The CSM portion covers Scrum theory, the Scrum Team, the events and artifacts, facilitation and coaching, and team development. The CSPO portion covers product vision, understanding users and stakeholders, building and ordering the Product Backlog, release planning and working with developers during the sprint. Both use team exercises and case studies.

The CSM requires a 50-question online test (60 minutes, 74% to pass), with two attempts free within 90 days. The CSPO has no exam. Together they give you two Scrum Alliance badges, and the pair is a common route to A-CSM and A-CSPO.

Passing score	74% (at least 37 of 50 correct)
Exam fee	No separate test fee for the first two attempts: they are free if taken within 90 days of your Scrum Alliance welcome email. Further attempts, or attempts after 90 days, cost US$25 each.
Where	Online and unproctored; you can bookmark questions but cannot pause the test.
Validity	2 years. Renew with 20 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and a US$100 renewal fee (as published by Scrum Alliance).
