What this course covers
Cloud computing now underpins most digital services, and business decisions about it affect budgets, risk and customer experience. This course gives non-engineers a clear, practical understanding of the cloud so they can take part in those decisions with confidence.
You will learn the characteristics of cloud computing, how infrastructure, platform and software services differ, what public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud mean, and how shared responsibility works. We then move into the business view: how to build a business case, how pricing models and total cost of ownership work, what a migration involves, how to choose between providers, how contracts and service levels protect you, and how to manage security, privacy and compliance obligations, including Indian and global data rules.
The course follows the business themes of the CompTIA Cloud Essentials+ objectives. Please note that CompTIA retired the Cloud Essentials+ certification exam (CLO-002); its last testing date was reported as 25 September 2025, so please confirm the current status on comptia.org. This programme is therefore a knowledge course with no external exam, and it works well as a foundation for CompTIA Cloud+ or the AWS, Azure and Google Cloud fundamentals certifications.
