About the course
What this course covers
The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA is designed for people who manage, design and oversee an enterprise security programme. Where technical certifications test hands-on skill, CISM tests whether you can align security with business goals, communicate risk to leadership, build a programme and lead an organisation through an incident.
This 40-hour live online course covers the four CISM domains: Information Security Governance, Information Security Risk Management, Information Security Program and Incident Management. Each domain is taught through decision-making scenarios, so you practise choosing the answer a security manager would choose, which is exactly how ISACA frames its questions.
ISACA has announced an updated CISM exam content outline effective 3 November 2026, keeping the four domains but giving more weight to strategy, programme development and architecture topics. Our batches are taught to the outline that applies on your test date, and we explain the differences clearly so you are never studying outdated material.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Do I need five years of experience before I can take the exam?
No. Anyone can take the exam, but certification is awarded only after you submit an application proving the required security-management experience within five years of passing.
Q.Is CISM better than CISSP?
They suit different goals. CISSP is a broad technical-and-managerial credential; CISM is focused purely on security management and governance. Many senior professionals hold both.
Q.What changes in the November 2026 exam update?
ISACA keeps the four domains but shifts emphasis towards strategy, programme development and architecture. Your trainer will teach to whichever outline applies on your exam date.
Q.How should I book the exam from India?
Register on the ISACA website, pay the exam fee in US dollars (plus applicable taxes) and schedule through PSI at a centre or by remote proctoring.
Q.How long should I prepare?
Most learners need six to eight weeks alongside the live classes, mainly practising scenario questions and reviewing rationales.
Q.What are the CPE requirements?
You must report at least 20 CPE hours each year and 120 hours across three years, and pay the annual maintenance fee.
