Certified LeSS Basics Training

Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) is a framework for scaling Scrum to many teams working on one product. Its guiding idea is to keep the structure as simple as possible: one Product Owner, one Product Backlog, one Definition of Done, one potentially shippable increment and several teams in one Sprint. Certified LeSS Basics is a short course that introduces this approach.

The class gives an overview of the LeSS framework, the Scrum principles it builds on, such as empiricism and cross-functional, self-managing teams, and the rules and guidelines that define LeSS. You learn how it differs from other scaling approaches, what changes for teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and managers, and what an organisation needs to consider before adopting it.

The LeSS Company's listings describe the Basics course as one day, with participants receiving a Certified LeSS Basics certificate and an account on less.works. There is no separate exam. Treat it as an orientation course; the in-depth training is Certified LeSS Practitioner.
