About the course
What this course covers
The Certified Agile Facilitator (CAF) is a Scrum Alliance certification that focuses on one skill that every agile role depends on: running group conversations that lead to clear outcomes. Poorly facilitated retrospectives, planning sessions and stakeholder workshops waste time and weaken trust; this course teaches a repeatable way to do better.
The Scrum Alliance learning objectives cover what a facilitator is and does, the mindset of a neutral facilitator, working with conflict, understanding the needs of different teams, and applying facilitation skills before, during and after a session. Most of the course is practice: you design agendas, facilitate short sessions and receive feedback.
There is no formal exam and no prerequisite. Credit comes from completing the course components with an approved educator. The certification was previously called ACS-CF and was renamed in July 2024.
