About the course
What this course covers
A business case is the document that persuades decision makers to spend money, time and attention on an idea. Many fail not because the idea is weak but because the case is vague, optimistic or hard to read. This short course shows you how to build a case that stands up to scrutiny.
You will practise defining the problem or opportunity clearly, generating realistic options (including doing nothing), estimating costs and benefits, calculating simple financial measures such as ROI, payback and NPV, assessing risks and assumptions, and recommending a course of action. We also cover non-financial benefits, sensitivity analysis and how to present a case to a steering committee.
The course is practical, with a case you develop through the day. There is no external exam. Learners receive an Assure Success completion certificate.
