About the course
What this course covers
Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (exam DP-900) shows that you understand core data concepts and the Azure data services that handle them. It is an entry-level credential for anyone starting to work with data in the cloud, whether as a future data engineer, analyst, administrator or a business professional who works with data teams.
Microsoft assesses four areas: describe core data concepts; identify considerations for relational data on Azure; describe considerations for working with non-relational data on Azure; and describe an analytics workload on Azure. The course covers each, starting with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, transactional versus analytical workloads and data roles, then Azure SQL options and open-source relational databases, Blob, Table, File and Cosmos DB, and analytics services such as Synapse, Databricks, Fabric and Power BI.
The course prepares you for the exam, which you book yourself with Microsoft via Pearson VUE. Fundamentals credentials do not need renewal. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.
