About the course
What this course covers
Security Engineering on AWS is for engineers who are responsible for protecting AWS accounts and workloads. It goes well beyond the basic shared-responsibility ideas: you learn to design identity boundaries, encrypt data correctly, segment networks, log everything that matters, detect threats and respond when something goes wrong.
The course builds a security baseline for a multi-account environment. You write IAM policies with conditions and permission boundaries, manage keys in KMS, restrict S3 and network access, centralise CloudTrail and VPC Flow Logs, turn on GuardDuty and Security Hub, and use Config and Lambda to remediate misconfigurations automatically. Incident-response exercises show how to investigate and contain a compromised access key.
There is no exam inside the course. It is useful preparation for the AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification, which you would book separately with AWS after checking its current exam guide. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.

Q.Is there an exam in this course?
No. You receive an Assure Success completion certificate. The related AWS credential, Security - Specialty, is a separate exam booked with AWS.
Q.Do I need AWS Associate certification first?
It is not mandatory, but you should know Associate-level topics: VPC, IAM, S3 and EC2.
Q.Will I learn ethical hacking?
The course focuses on defending and monitoring AWS. We demonstrate common attack paths so you understand them, but it is not a penetration-testing course.
Q.Can I do it if I come from an on-premises security background?
Yes. Many learners do. We map familiar concepts like firewalls and SIEM to AWS services.
Q.Are the labs risky for my account?
We use a dedicated practice account and teach you how to clean up, set budgets and avoid exposing keys.
Q.Does it cover Azure or GCP security?
