About the course
What this course covers
AWS Certified Developer - Associate validates that you can develop, deploy and debug applications on AWS using the AWS SDKs, CLI, serverless services and CI/CD tools. It suits developers who build back-end services, APIs and event-driven applications and who want to prove they can use AWS properly rather than just run code on a virtual machine.
The current exam is DVA-C02. AWS has announced that the last day to take DVA-C02 is 30 November 2026, and that registration for the updated DVA-C03 version opens on 27 October 2026. This course teaches the core skills both versions share: working with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, messaging, Cognito, KMS and Secrets Manager, building pipelines with CodeBuild and CodePipeline, and monitoring with CloudWatch and X-Ray. Our instructors point out which topics are tested in each version, and we recommend you check the current exam guide on the AWS site before choosing your date.
The training is live and instructor-led online. It prepares you for the exam; you book and take the exam yourself with AWS.

Key skills
Skills you will walk away with
Serverless development
Write Lambda functions with event sources such as S3, SQS and API Gateway, and manage cold starts, concurrency and permissions.
Data access with DynamoDB and S3
Design partition keys, use queries versus scans, and manage objects, versions and pre-signed URLs from code.
Authentication and authorisation
Use IAM roles, Cognito user pools and identity pools, and signed requests in applications.
Secure application secrets
Protect data with KMS envelope encryption and keep credentials in Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
CI/CD on AWS
Automate build, test and deployment with Git repositories, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline.

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Which exam version should I book, DVA-C02 or DVA-C03?
AWS states the last day for DVA-C02 is 30 November 2026 and DVA-C03 registration opens on 27 October 2026. If you can be ready before the end of November, either works; otherwise plan for DVA-C03. We update examples when the new exam guide is public.
Q.Which programming language is used in class?
Examples are mainly in Python with some Node.js. The exam is language-neutral, so you only need to read short code snippets in any common language.
Q.Is this course only for experienced developers?
You should be comfortable writing basic code and calling REST APIs. You do not need prior AWS experience, though some cloud basics help.
Q.How is it different from the Solutions Architect Associate?
Solutions Architect focuses on designing infrastructure. Developer Associate focuses on writing and deploying code against AWS services, and on CI/CD and debugging.
Q.How much does the exam cost?
AWS lists USD 150 plus applicable taxes. You book and pay AWS directly.
Q.Will AI services like Bedrock appear on the exam?
Reports about the DVA-C03 update suggest more AI-related content; the official exam guide on the AWS site is the final word, and we cover it when it is published.
