About the course
What this course covers
Ansible is an agentless automation tool that configures systems, deploys applications and orchestrates multi-step operations using simple YAML playbooks over SSH. Because it needs no agent on the target servers and reads like documentation, it is one of the easiest configuration management tools to adopt, and it is widely used by operations and DevOps teams.
The course takes you from first command to maintainable automation. You build inventories (static and dynamic), run ad-hoc commands, write playbooks with variables, facts, conditionals, loops, handlers and Jinja2 templates, and organise reusable code into roles and collections. You work with files, packages, services, users and templates on Linux servers, automate a web server and database stack, protect secrets with Ansible Vault, handle errors and use tags and check mode safely. A section introduces provisioning cloud resources, using Ansible in CI/CD pipelines and the concepts behind AWX and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
There is no exam inside the course. Red Hat offers a hands-on Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam focused on Ansible automation; because its requirements and prices change, please check the Red Hat site if you want it. Delivery is live, instructor-led and online.
Who should attend
- ● Linux and system administrators who want to automate repetitive work
- ● DevOps engineers building configuration management and deployment automation
- ● Cloud engineers who configure servers after provisioning

FAQs
Questions learners ask us
Q.Is there an exam in this course?
No. You receive an Assure Success completion certificate. Red Hat's hands-on RHCE exam is a separate, optional path; check redhat.com for current details and price.
Q.Do I need to know programming?
No. Ansible uses YAML, and we teach the small amount of Jinja2 needed.
Q.Will we use Windows?
Mainly Linux. Windows and network automation are introduced briefly.
Q.How is Ansible different from Terraform?
Terraform provisions infrastructure. Ansible configures what runs on it. They are often used together.
Q.Is it enough for a DevOps job?
It is a core skill, but DevOps roles usually also require Git, CI/CD, containers and cloud. Our DevOps Engineer program covers these.
Q.What do I need for labs?
A few Linux virtual machines locally or in the cloud. We share setup instructions.
