About the course
What this course covers
AI coding assistants can speed up routine work, but they also produce confident mistakes. This course teaches software professionals to use them well: what to delegate, how to prompt, how to verify and when to write the code yourself. The aim is faster delivery without lower quality or hidden risk.
We walk through the software development life cycle. In planning you use AI to clarify requirements and draft user stories. In design you use it to compare options and write architecture decision records. In coding you practise generation, refactoring, code explanation and debugging with an IDE assistant and a chat assistant. In testing you generate unit and integration tests and review them for gaps. You also see agentic coding workflows, where an assistant plans and edits across files, and learn how to set boundaries, review diffs and keep a clean Git history. Security, intellectual property and privacy rules are covered so you can use these tools within company policy.
This course is tool-neutral: examples work with the mainstream assistants available in 2026, and your batch will confirm the tools used. There is no external exam. You receive an Assure Success course-completion certificate on completion.
