About the course
What this course covers
Advanced Architecting on AWS is for engineers who already design AWS solutions and now need to handle the problems of larger organisations: dozens of accounts, existing data centres that must stay connected, strict security and compliance, and migration of hundreds of servers. The course moves from single-application design to platform and enterprise design.
We work through case studies. For example, a bank that wants to separate workloads into accounts with central logging, private connectivity to its data centre, and recovery in another Region. For each case you will compare options, document trade-offs against the Well-Architected pillars, and build key parts in labs.
There is no separate exam attached to this course. It is excellent preparation if you plan to attempt the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional exam, which you would book separately with AWS. The training is live and instructor-led online in scheduled batches.

Q.Is there an exam at the end of this course?
No. It is a skills course. If you want a credential, the natural next exam is AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, booked separately with AWS.
Q.Do I need Solutions Architect Associate first?
You do not need the certificate, but you should know the Associate-level material. Otherwise the pace of the case studies will be difficult.
Q.Will we use a real multi-account setup?
Yes, we use Organizations in labs with a small set of member accounts. We also show Control Tower conceptually since it creates many resources.
Q.Is it suitable for developers?
It suits developers who are moving into architecture roles. Pure application developers may prefer the Developing on AWS course.
Q.Are the labs expensive?
Labs are designed to be small and short-lived. We explain which resources to delete after each exercise to avoid cost.
Q.Do I get a certificate?
You receive a course-completion certificate from Assure Success. It is not an AWS certification.
